I first became aware of Nicole as the girl who always wore a homemade “I Love Jay Ferguson” t-shirt to every Sloan concert in the 90s. Years later I got to know her when she was the bass player in New Grenada.  This night she brought lots of great indie and punk records and debuted her solo project, French Method, with a live set. Eddie Baranek backed her up on farfisa through a wah pedal and Ben Lucket played drums. You can listen to both the DJ set and the French Method live set below!

July 3rd, also known as Independence Eve, was an epic party for America. Zach Shipps, local producer and member of Electric Six, brought some meat and potatoes rock’n’roll and I kept All American tunes cooking on my side of the grill all night. Plus Brad Elliott was in town from Georgia with his band White Violet who played a live set. The set was only recorded on cassette tape, which is now traveling around in the White Violet tour van.
